2024 State of the Arts in HISD
Baseline Report

In conjunction with the 2024 State of the Arts in Education Symposium, Arts Connect has released our first-ever State of the Arts report, covering 2022-23 HISD school data from HISD Research and Accountability and the artlook® survey. The report outlines key access, quality, and partnership benchmarks and discusses goals and next for building on and improving those areas.

We hope this report illuminates the strengths and weaknesses of arts education in HISD and can serve as a tool for you to inform your work and advocacy, whether that is as an arts administrator, teaching artist, faculty member, or community member.
