Arts Connect Houston works to ensure that all students in Houston ISD have access to quality arts education. To support this goal, the Arts Action Fund provides grant-structured funding to schools and Arts and Culture partners via application for in-school arts programming to expand access and support capacity building efforts both in Houston ISD schools and organizations.

The Arts Action Fund supports the creation of an arts ecosystem where schools engage with arts and culture organizations to facilitate in-school arts programming. Specifically, the fund supports in-school arts experiences, arts instruction, arts integration and professional development in creative writing, dance, music, theatre and visual arts. The Arts Action Fund is focused on:

  1. Seed Funding -- Individual micro-grants of up to $2,000 per Houston ISD school from an Arts Connect Arts and Culture Partner, can be a digital program in the 2020-21 school year

  2. Innovation in Action -- Individual grant of up to $10,000 for partnership with an Arts and Culture Partner and Houston ISD school to create a new, inventive and responsive arts program

***The 20-21 Arts Action Fund is now closed.**

Due to an unexpected volume of applicants in round two, we will not have a round three of funding opportunities.
